SUMMARY:Networking Dinner #003 - Personal and Professional Yearly Review\, Planning and Goal-Setting.
DESCRIPTION:Secure a seat at the table\n\n\n\nLearn and network with a premium community \n\n\n\n\n\n\nGrab your ticket\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn the 16th of October\, Women in Marketing – Bulgaria will host our second in-person event in Plovdiv – a networking dinner with two guest speakers on the topic of Personal and Professional Yearly Review\, Planning and Goal-Setting.  \n\n\n\nJoin us for an intimate networking dinner where we reset both the person and the playbook. In the first talk\, Vania Kandova leads a practical personal year-in-review: what to keep\, what to change\, and how to set goals you’ll actually hit. In the second\, Petya Terzieva deconstructs the performance of a modern marketing department—what to measure\, how to spot waste\, and where to invest for real impact. Come for the warm table talk; leave with a crisp personal action plan and a sharper marketing scorecard. \n\n\n\nThe dinner will take place on the 16th of October (Thu) from 19:00 to 23:00 at the esteemed restaurant Saborna 23. Our guest group will enjoy a private hall\, where we will be able to connect\, exchange ideas\, and hear the inspirational lectures of the two speakers. \n\n\n\nAbout the speakers and lectures\n\n\n\n\nVania Kandova is an experienced business coach and mentor\, and the owner–manager of Dynamic Talent Management\, an outsourcing HR firm that helps SMEs build strong people practices—from hiring and onboarding to performance\, learning\, and team effectiveness. Vania’s background spans HR management\, teaching philosophy\, and even conducting a church choir—perspectives she uses to develop resilient\, human-centered leaders. She also designs and delivers practical workshops (including time-management programs) and one-to-one coaching that translate into measurable workplace results. \n\n\n\nShe will teach our community how to review\, plan\, and goal-set for our personal and professional career success. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPetya Terzieva is a senior marketing leader with more than two decades of experience building brands\, shaping corporate communications\, and driving commercial growth across media and consumer sectors. She has led high-impact campaigns and teams at bTV Media Group (Marketing Director)\, NOVA Broadcasting Group (Head of Marketing & Communications)\, and later served as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at ZEPTER International Bulgaria. Her earlier career spans agency (Young & Rubicam) and broadcast sales (Balkan News Corporation)\, giving her a 360° view from strategy to execution. \n\n\n\nFrom the point of view of a Head of Marketing\, Petya will teach our community how to professionally review\, plan\, and goal-set the performance of our marketing department campaigns and initiatives. \n\n\n\n\n\nSession descriptions\n\n\n\nMarketing Department Yearly Review\, Planning and Goal-setting\n\n\n\nPetya Terzieva \n\n\n\nEffectively Managing a Multifunctional Marketing Department\n\n\n\nToday’s marketing department is far more than “advertising.” It’s a dynamic ecosystem where strategy\, creativity\, technology\, communications\, and business outcomes meet. As leaders and practitioners\, we balance brand building\, product launches\, digital campaigns\, budget stewardship\, and corporate reputation—every day. \n\n\n\nThis session is a forum to share practices\, exchange experience\, and spark new approaches. We’ll cover the key aspects of running a multifunctional marketing team and how to apply them in real-world conditions. \n\n\n\nWhat We’ll Cover\n\n\n\nWe’ll focus on three core themes: \n\n\n\n\nYear-in-Review Analysis – how to conduct a professional\, constructive assessment of results.\n\n\n\nPlanning – how to structure the calendar\, budget\, and priorities.\n\n\n\nGoal-Setting – how to create clear\, realistic\, and ambitious objectives for the year ahead.\n\n\n\n\nAll topics are grounded in practice\, with real examples\, challenges\, and solutions relevant to the Bulgarian marketing context. \n\n\n\nA Practical Model for Structuring Marketing Work\n\n\n\n\nBrand Marketing – strategic positioning\, brand equity\, identity\, and recognition; making the brand authentic and durable over time.\n\n\n\nProduct Marketing – targeting\, value messaging\, support for commercial execution\, and the key moments of product launches.\n\n\n\nPerformance Marketing – managing digital channels and optimizing ROI.\n\n\n\nCorporate Communications\, CSR & PR – reputation management\, partnerships\, media visibility\, and social impact.\n\n\n\n\nYear-in-Review: Foundation for the Future\n\n\n\nMeasure what matters and turn insights into action: \n\n\n\n\nBrand KPIs: awareness\, associations\, preference.\n\n\n\nProduct KPIs: new product success\, clarity of communication.\n\n\n\nPerformance KPIs: ROAS\, CPA\, CTR\, LTV\, top-performing channels.\n\n\n\nMedia Buying KPIs: efficiency and effectiveness of paid campaigns.\n\n\n\nCSR KPIs: societal impact\, media coverage\, employee engagement.\n\n\n\n\nPlanning & Goal-Setting\n\n\n\n\nDefine goals that are clear\, measurable\, and inspiring.\n\n\n\nBuild an annual marketing calendar that balances strategic initiatives with tactical execution.\n\n\n\nBudget for both long-term brand investment and short-term performance campaigns.\n\n\n\nCoordinate across teams to avoid duplication of resources and mixed messages.\n\n\n\n\nChannel Management – Paid & Owned Media\n\n\n\nCreate an integrated strategy across channels: \n\n\n\n\nPaid Media: digital advertising\, ATL\, BTL\, media planning\, buying\, and optimization.\n\n\n\nOwned Media: corporate sites\, blogs\, social profiles\, newsletters\, internal platforms.\n\n\n\nContent Management: consistent\, relevant content that reinforces the overall strategy.\n\n\n\n\nTeam Structure: Organizing for Execution\n\n\n\nAn example structure for a multifunctional department: \n\n\n\n\nBrand & Product Management\n\n\n\nCorporate Communications\, CSR & PR\n\n\n\nCreative Team (in-house or external)\n\n\n\nResearch & Analysis / Insights\n\n\n\nMedia Planning & Buying\n\n\n\nOwned & Paid Media Content Team\n\n\n\n\nThe aim is to design smooth processes that enable fast adaptation and effective delivery. \n\n\n\nOutcome\n\n\n\nWe aim to leave with practical ideas\, concrete solutions\, and fresh inspiration for new ways of working. \n\n\n\nHow to review\, plan\, and goal-set for our personal and professional career success\n\n\n\nVanya Kandova \n\n\n\nThis won’t be a lecture in the classic sense\, but a meeting where we’ll move together— inward toward ourselves and outward toward leadership. We’ll work with a personal compass for 2026 to see what energizes us\, where we lose energy\, and which resources we often underestimate but could be our strength. \n\n\n\nThrough questions\, short exercises\, and shared experience\, we’ll look for the inner navigation that makes a leader resilient\, adaptable\, and confident in an uncertain environment. Not theory\, but a practical experience that can set a new direction right now. \n\n\n\nIf you want to get the most out of this meeting\, bring openness and a willingness to ask yourself honest questions. Consider: when were you last truly energized\, and what keeps you steady when everything around you is changing? That’s exactly where our journey begins. \n\n\n\nEvent Schedule\n\n\n\nWe’ll be expecting our guests at 19-19:30. We’ll take drinks\, appetizers\, and starters until 20:00. Then the two lectures will start\, each having a few minutes for a Q&A.
