On July 25 at 7:00 PM, Women in Marketing – Bulgaria hosted its first in-person event, a private networking dinner at Klubovna. The event featured two speakers, Vassilena Valchanova and Ana Dinkova, who discussed advancing careers and personal branding.
Here are just some of the feedback notes from our community members, who attended the event:
The most important thing for me was the sense of spontaneity, the sharing of personal moments and stories that prove you managed to make the ladies feel comfortable, to be open to crossing the boundaries of standard professional presentations and networking etiquette, and to share more of their “true selves.”
Another woman shared:
The organization was good, with excellent information provided via email, as well as enough reminders and communication before the event. The speakers were interesting, and the community was inspiring. I really liked the format, and I believe it will be very successful in the future.
During the presentation, Vassilena will briefly outline the four stages of creating an effective personal brand. She will discuss where to start and how to distinguish yourself from other professionals in your field.
Vassilena will also introduce you to practices for creating content that effectively builds your brand without taking up countless hours.
Attendees will receive worksheets with guiding questions and exercises, as well as two of the most useful templates Vassilena uses for creating effective content.
Ana will discuss how to combine personal talents, interests, and hobbies to build a successful career; ways to identify strengths and weaknesses that will help find the right career path and understand which areas to develop; how to trust yourself and your instincts, even at the risk of disappointing loved ones, in order to pursue a career that brings satisfaction and joy, rather than striving to meet the expectations of others.
Attendees will also receive some additional Materials, including a short presentation/PDF with personality assessment tools, a few coaching tips to assist with decision-making, and brief guidelines for goal-setting.
